Nick established EndFire Engineering alongside Ewen Thomson in 2000. He has more than 35 years? experience in the fire protection industry.
Nick has helped to develop the business over time, expanding EndFire Engineering beyond Townsville, with branches now in Brisbane, Mackay, Cairns and Darwin.
Nick is responsible for developing EndFire Engineering?s long-term strategic objectives and policies,?oversees financial performance, investments and business opportunities.
Ewen, a founding partner with Nick Kosanovic, is a highly experienced fire protection equipment professional with over 25 years in the fire industry.?
With a background in RAAF Avionics Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Ewen holds a Restricted Electrical Licence and is a licenced Fire Sprinkler Fitter. Ewen also holds a QBCC licence for a range of Fire Alarm, Emergency, and Hazard systems and procedures.
Ewen oversees general operations, provides leadership and guidance to the team, as well as manages client relationships.
Tony has 30 years? experience within the construction and service industry with companies such as Resolve FM Spotless, Thomas & Coffey, AE Smith and EndFire Engineering.?
Tony maintains a hands-on role in project planning, scheduled service planning, liaising with clients, initiating scheduled client meetings, optimising client outcomes, long term forecasting for upcoming works ensuring completion targets are achieved and prioritisation of urgent works as required.?
Tony has extensive project management experience and is now Branch Manager for our Brisbane office.
With more than 20 years? experience in the management of projects, services and staff, Paul manages design and installation projects as well as ongoing service and maintenance contracts.
Paul has previously been employed in Operations Management and Facilities Management roles.
Using this experience, Paul manages client contracts including client relationship management, client/site-specific protocols, WHS procedures, KPIs, quality control procedures and continuous improvement.
Having more than 15 years? experience in both the corporate finance sector and public accounting sector, Melissa joined EndFire Engineering as Finance Manager in 2012.
Melissa oversees the accounts department and manage the business? finances including overseas contracts, finance, administration and payroll.
Melissa also provides support and liaison with branch managers and administration staff for day to day operations.
Cristy joined EndFire Engineering in 2013 and has more than 15 years? experience in the fire industry.
Cristy manages audit and compliance of client premises to ensure quality of service delivery and that contractual obligations are being met. Cristy?s experience extends across a range of industries including commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, accommodation and logistics.
Managing and developing client relations is an important focus for Cristy and EndFire Engineering.
With more than 8 years? experience working with EndFire Engineering?s head office in Townsville, Alex has recently relocated to New Zealand to manage an international project.
Alex is currently based in Christchurch, as EndFire Engineering?s project manager for the fire services installation at Christchurch Hospital?s redevelopment project.
Alex has extensive experience from an electrical fire systems installation trade background and holds many licences and accreditations.
Mat has over 10 years? experience with EndFire Engineering in the installation, maintenance, programming and design of wet and fire protection systems as well as special hazard systems across a broad range of industries.
Prior to his role as Project Manager, Mat was employed as a fire systems technician with EndFire Engineering, providing a strong technical foundation for all projects under his control.
With a background in project management, project engineering and construction management, Kym brings substantial experience in a broad range of projects and sectors including civil, structural, earthworks, process equipment, power and distribution, instruments and controls and materials (specialising in natural gas, LNG, LPG and more).
Kym holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and has previously worked in high profile organisations within the mining and energy sector with proven success. Kym leads our installation technicians in the Far North Queensland region to deliver projects within construction timelines.
Dean is a wet fire systems engineer with more than 10 years? designing and drafting fire system installations with EndFire Engineering.
During his time, he has completed multiple qualifications and courses including a Certificate IV in Manufacturing Technology CAD/Drafting pathway; a Certificate III in Computer Aided Drafting and a Diploma of Fire Systems Design.
Dean is also proficient in specialist software including AutoCAD, Revit (Building Information?Modelling), and Hyena (Hydraulic systems software) which provides additional expertise and knowledge in EndFire Engineering?s design and installation process ? providing advice and expertise from end-to-end design, installation and maintenance.
Renee has a Diploma of Work Health and Safety, currently undertaking a Bachelor of Accident Forensics and Occupational Health and Safety and has a passion for balancing safety, health and wellbeing with operational procedures.
Renee works with our Service and Project Managers to ensure continuity and conformity with our Work Health & Safety Management System and ensures that any site or client specific safety protocols are communicated with our team. Renee manages all associated WHS documentation and is undertaking a review of EndFire Engineering?s Quality system to meet ISO 9001 standards.

We maintain corporate membership of the Fire Protection Association Australia (FPAA) and the National Fire Industry Association (NFIA) as well as Queensland Electrical Contractor?s Licence, Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) Licence and Commercial Accreditation Licence registration in the Northern Territory.
